However, it functions just as well as a barrier to cold weather. Unlike the above mentioned model, which is mean to be worn under your hard hat, this model is designed to fit snugly over the brim of the hard hat and over the entire head and face. The compressive fit traps warm air to keep your face, mouth, ears, nose, and neck toasty. It also helps prevent wind tunneling so it is a great accessory to have on windy days when the wind chill factor is through the roof. The liner can be detached from your hard hat’s brim and folded down to only keep the neck warm, on those mild winter days. This model is available in navy, red, and hi-viz orange.
